Up Front - Michael Romagnoli

Well, here we are.

All new content for our web site, and with any luck, it will be kept up from week to week. Jacob, John, Jer, and Steve will make sure it is, at least. So, before I launch into any tirads about the good and evils of pop culture, let me introduce everyone.

Jacob Jones-Goldstein is the shop manager at First State Comics. And as such, he has his hands in just about every aspect of the business. I don't worry about him, though; the video cameras watching him are well hidden. In all seriousness; Jacob is the driving force behind this web newsletter being revamped and the content that is in it.

John Guzman is volunteering as a sales assistant here at the shop. He is very interested in wrestling and has some strong opinions on the matter. John has been very enthusiastic about putting his column on the web.

Steve Myers' column doesn't quite appear yet, but give him another week or so. The poor boy accepted a job with the Wall Street Journal - Hong Kong Edition. Steve will give us some pretty interesting points about being a comic book creator in a communist country. Maybe he'll even be able to hook up with some creators there and find out what things are really like.

Jer is the aforementioned Jacob's brother. He lives, works, and plays card games in New England. Jacob mentions his brother fairly often to me, but I've never had the pleasure of meeting him. Now we'll all get to know him and how he deals a deck.

And then there's me, Michael Romagnoli. I'll be your host and mascot for the web newsletter. Poster boy for pointing fingers. Mister "It's everyone else's fault". I hope I can be as entertaining as I am enlightening in my column.

Thanks for joining us, and don't forget to drop me an email and let me know what you think of the new First In The News Web Edition Newsletter. That's a mouthful. Sheesh.
