Want to get to First State Comics? Well, here's a really nice map I picked up at TIGER Map Service - a service provided by the US Census Bureau. Pretty nifty, huh? As you could probably tell, I added in the road numbers - sort of a crude job, but it'll have to do for now.

First State Comics is located in the Fox Run Shopping Center in Bear, Delaware, at the corner of Route 40 and Route 72. Parking is free, and the shopping center has two banks with drive-thru ATM machines that cover the whole gambit of ATM cards. There is a Bank of Delaware on the East side, and a Wilmington Trust on the West side.

Here's how to get to the shop from various points:

From Wilmington or Philadelphia:
Take I-95 South until you reach the 896 south exit (marked as Middletown). This exit is the last exit in Delaware going South on I-95 through Delaware. From here, you want to go South on Route 896 until you reach the interection with Route 40. This is a major intersection, and would be kind of hard to miss. From I-95, this intersection is about 2.5 miles or so. At this intersection, turn left onto Route 40 East. Go 1 mile. The next intersection is with Route 72. Fox Run Shopping Center is on your right, immediately after going through the intersection. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.

From Baltimore and vicinity:
Take I-95 north until you reach the 896 south exit (marked as Middletown). This exit is the first exit in Delaware going North on I-95 through Delaware. It is about 1 mile (or less) from the state line from Maryland. From here, you want to go South on Route 896 until you reach the interection with Route 40. This is a major intersection, and would be kind of hard to miss. From I-95, this intersection is about 2.5 miles or so. At this intersection, turn left onto Route 40 East. Go 1 mile. The next intersection is with Route 72. Fox Run Shopping Center is on your right, immediately after going through the intersection. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.

From Newark & the University of Delaware:
Go South on Route 896 (South College Avenue) until you reach the interection with Route 40. This is a major intersection, and would be kind of hard to miss. This is about 7 miles or so from the University Stadium. At this intersection, turn left onto Route 40 East. Go 1 mile. The next intersection is with Route 72. Fox Run Shopping Center is on your right, immediately after going through the intersection. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.

From Elkton or using Route 40 West:
Go on Route 40 West until you reach the intersection with Route 72. This is about 2.5 miles West of the Delaware / Maryland border. Fox Run Shopping Center is on your right, immediately after going through the intersection. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.

From Smyrna, Dover, and Lower Delaware in general:
Go North on Route 1 and over that new bridge they built over the C&D Canal (I can't remember the name of it). Take the Route 72 North exit (Newark). Follow Route 72, and just before the intersection with Route 40, you'll see signs for the Fox Run Shopping Center on your right. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.

From Middletown or South of Middletown using Route 301 North:
Take 301 North until you hit 896, and then take 896 North. If you are coming from Middletown, just take 896 North. Follow 896 North until you reach the interection with Route 40. This is a major intersection, and would be kind of hard to miss. At this intersection, turn right onto Route 40 East. Go 1 mile. The next intersection is with Route 72. Fox Run Shopping Center is on your right, immediately after going through the intersection. First State Comics is on the west side, about 5 shops to the left of Wilmington Trust Bank.
